Doing the impossible is kind of fun
So you may have noticed that I haven’t updated the blog for a while. And I have a very good reason for this. I must confess I have been sucked back into the cross stitch cesspool.
For a while I had fallen out of my cross stitch hobby. For some reason my stitchy bug was AWOL. But that all changed when I started my latest HAED piece – the World Travel Bookshelf by Aimee Stewart.
GG SAL – June ’16 – Baby J’s Flat Ornament
This is my first post towards the GG SAL hosted by the lovely Jo of Serendipitous Stitching.
In March we celebrated the first birthday of baby J, the son of a dear friend. He is our miracle baby, a bouncing ball of coo’s and giggles who spreads cheer wherever he goes. Needless to say the occasion could not pass without making a little something for him.
I will insert here that I did get the project done in time for the birthday but am only getting around to posting about it three months after the fact. Sighhh… punctuality has never been my strong suit.

My first Flat Ornament finish
I am super duper proud to introduce you to my latest finish. This is my first finish of 2016. My first FFO for 2016. My first time making a cord and tassel. My first cross stitch finished as a flat ornament.
