New York – Day 1, Part 2

Today I’m continuing my long overdue series on our New York itinerary.

After our first stop at the WTC memorial which you can read about here, we took the metro to our next stop – the Grand Central Terminal.

Day 1, Part 1 – New York

So today let’s start my holiday recap with our first official day in New York.

You can read about our (mis)adventures getting to New York here. We finally reached our hotel at about 4am still wide awake and bushy tailed (time zones are devious indeed). We slept for a few hours and woke up early, refreshed and ready to immerse ourselves in the city.

What New York taught me in one night

Time zones are funny things. We left the UAE yesterday to reach New York today. But when we got here it’s still yesterday! Trippy, no?

Anyway… our trip got off to a rather adventurous start. The past few hours have made me reflect that in all our travels we have been blessed with more than our fair share of smooth sailing. We’re barely into this trip and already I have learnt that we too often take things for granted.
