TTLT – Day 12 – Architecture and Monochrome

“From geometric patterns on skyscrapers to the ironwork on historical buildings, there are many opportunities to capture the beauty and complexity of architecture.”

As you can tell from my last post, Greece is the land of doors from a photographer’s dream.

I clicked this just as the hubby was getting frustrated with my new found fascination for doorways. I would have loved to hang around and experiment with different settings on my DSLR but apparently time and tour guides wait for no man.

  1. It looks like an old gateway, those really fascinating ones you see in movies and this is the mini version! A beautiful take! Great Shot! – Cezane

  2. I know you got this a lot but it is such a beautiful door. I didn’t think I’d ever say that but wow that’s amazing. Cool post. xD

    1. Thank you Maria! That is great praise coming from you 🙂

I have mixed feelings about guided tours too for the very same reason. And so much depends on the personality of the tour guide. Really a hit-and-miss venture 🙂

  3. I share your interest in doors- I have a lot of photos from travels where I’ve focused on doors, windows, tiled roofs, door knockers….. The details is what drives my interest. Enjoyed this photo.
