I have some exciting news!
I had mentioned in a previous post that the Facebook HAED challenge was the boot in the behind I needed to get working on my WIP.

I am pleased to report that the hard work has paid off and I can now proudly say that I have a page finish!

I have completed much more than the required 400 stitches and well before the 28 November deadline too! This is now my 2nd all time HAED page finish.
There is some DMC 310 in the areas that have already been stitched and it blends in so well with the black fabric it may as well be invisible. So as of now, I do not plan on stitching all the black that borders the design. I can shave off a good 10 columns or so from the edges that way.
Now is decision time… which page to do next? I do want to save the girl for last because I know that if I stitch her up first I will never get around to finishing that confetti intensive background. Those waves in particular look like they’ll have me unleashing some choice curse words. So I’m planning on stitching my way around the edges and slowly working inwards, saving the best for last.
I can’t wait to see more progress on this piece but for the time being I have set her aside so I can work on a smaller project or two.
Until next time…
Congrats on finishing a page! That is a great accomplishment. Stitching is looking great! I look forward to seeing more when you get back to it. Great job!

Thank you Ginny. I’m yearning to pick her up again but MUST get through my Christmas stitching first. And I’m already buzzing with ideas and laying the groundwork for 2016 starts. Let’s see how far I get 🙂

Great job! I agree with you; stitching the focal point first may lead to not finishing the piece. Definitely tackle all the confetti you can and get it behind you. Very pretty design.

Yay for a page finish. Good idea to handle the confetti area first.

Yay Mini! You’re back! 😀 Missed your comments 🙂
And yes… must get through that ridiculous confetti. I may pull out quite a bit of hair in frustration but at least it will spur me on 🙂
